Sorry for not writing a blog in a while. I think this is a perfect way to start your day and your New Year. If you want something different in your life, it is up to you and only you to make the change. Who you are today and who you want to be in the future all depends on if you are willing to take a leap of faith. Believe in yourself and know that you can do anything. This is a challenging task to do, but it will be worth it in the end. With risk, comes reward. It is better to try something, than to never try at all. Greatness is achieved by hard work and having a clear vision. A clear vision on what you want to accomplish will only help you get closer to reaching your goals. Making the change (or jump) does not have to be something huge. Start out with changing something small. Even the smallest of changes will go a long way to helping you to become the person you wish to be. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself. Try to make a small change today in any aspect of your life. If you make an attempt to change something, it will be a success no matter what the outcome is. “Do or do not, there is no try.” – Yoda

Everything happens for a reason. Try not to get discouraged during rough times. Even when struggling, believe that life will get better. It may take more time than you want it to and will also take work on your part; but you WILL overcome anything that stands in your way. Be the person you always wanted to become. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself. When in a negative state of mind, try to focus on something positive, even if it is something small. If you dwell on the negative, things will only get worse and make it harder to be re-directed towards something better. There is a reason for everything. Believe in yourself and know that you will Achieve Greatness and live a Successful Life. Also, know that I truly believe in you and know that you can do anything you want to accomplish. Try to focus on one thing positive today. Even if you aren’t struggling with something, being positive will allow you to succeed and reach your dreams quicker. I can guarantee that believing in yourself and having a positive attitude will only enhance your life. Rather than dwelling on a problem, choose to love your life today. I am not saying that this is an easy thing to do, but it will be worth it in the end. Things WILL always work out. Have a great, POSITIVE day! ūüôā

Reach Your Goals in 2013

It is a very exciting time of the year. Now that it is 2013, it is time to plan ahead for the upcoming year. One thing that I have found very useful is to sit down with a calendar and plan out some of your goals.  It is very helpful not only to plan goals, but to put a time frame on when you will reach them. It is very easy to set goals, but by choosing when you will accomplish them will not only motivate you, but also will help you hold yourself accountable. I recently used this strategy while planning out my cycling race season for 2013. It was a very exciting process for me, but it also mapped everything out in front of me to know when each race is. Doing something like this really helps put things in perspective and helps you stay focused throughout your journey. I have worked with many clients and consistency is usually the issue with getting off an exercise routine. I have found that when me and the client sit down and create SMART goals, that this helps keep them motivated and to stay on track. By doing this useful tool, it helps people work harder because they know that each workout is planned accordingly in order to set them up for the best possible outcome. I challenge you in the next week to sit down and think about what you want to accomplish this year. It may seem very hard and overwhelming at first, but break down the goal into smaller realistic goals.  If anyone needs help setting up goals, I have a Masters in Exercise and Sport Sciences with a concentration in Sport Psychlogy. A huge element of Sport Psychology is Motivation and Goal-Setting. Set yourself up for success by planning your goals. Put your goals down on paper so whenever you are struggling on certain days, you can look at your goal sheet to keep you motivated and determined to stay the course. Have great, successful day!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

Now that it is 2013, it is time to start thinking about your GOALS! 2013 is a NEW beginning. A fresh start. Time to Achieve Greatness! Don’t get discouraged from 2012, but learn from it. Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow in a positive direction. There is no failure in life if you continue to keep trying and improving.

Whether your GOAL is to Lose Weight, Increase Sport Performance, Gain Muscle Mass, Improve your Endurance, Recover from an Injury, etc., I can help you Achieve Success, motivate you and build confidence in all areas of your life.

Instead of making some wild and crazy New Year’s Resolution, try to think about small, short term goals. As stated in an earlier post, Setting Yourself Up for Success,¬†Set SMART Goals; Specific,¬†Measurable¬† Attainable, Realistic, Time-realistic. Setting SMART goals will allow yourself to attain the ultimate goal that you are trying to reach and will also build your¬†Confidence¬†while you are succeeding. Try not to overwhelm yourself with such huge goals that may seem impossible at the time. You can do anything you set your mind to; all you have to do is Believe in yourself!
